To stay competitive, Americans must embrace AI at work and in the classroom. Government data shows 2.2 million Americans already have AI-intensive jobs, and the number of college graduates with AI-related degrees surged 32% in five years.

Brainly today released a study on the States Most (and Least) Prepared to Win the AI Race using the most recent data from the Census Bureau, BLS, and the National Center for Education Statistics.

Myriad factors were analyzed in all 50 states and D.C. including the share of businesses that use AI, AI-intensive jobs per capita, AI-related degrees per capita, and more.

No. 16 Arizona: Among the key findings, Arizona has above-average rates of AI adoption among businesses (10.6%, No. 9) and AI-related degrees among young people (103 per 10,000 people ages 20-24, No. 13). It scores worst for high school education, with just 2.3% of high schoolers enrolled in computer science classes (No. 40).
