Snell & Wilmer recognized as a Best Place To Work for LGBTQ Equality
Snell & Wilmer announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the sixth year in a row. Administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.
“Once again, Snell & Wilmer is honored to receive a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation,” said Matthew P. Feeney, chair of Snell & Wilmer. “At its core, diversity is all about people – the similarities that bind us and the differences that enrich us, individually and collectively. By itself, however, diversity cannot achieve any measure of meaningful and lasting success within any organization. Diversity needs equity and inclusion, which commits to driving fair outcomes and to ensuring members of our firm understand they belong and are respected, valued, and appreciated for who they are as individuals. Our firm is dedicated to fostering an enjoyable working environment, based on open communication and mutual respect. As part of this commitment, our extended team is focused on enhancing the ways we recognize the voices and importance of our LGBTQ+ colleagues, community, and collaborative efforts in achieving this important HRC recognition.”
The 2022 CEI report evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Companies were evaluated on their four main categories, which includes workforce protections, equitable benefits, workplace culture and inclusiveness, and corporate social responsibility. Snell & Wilmer’s efforts in satisfying all the CEI’s criteria resulted in the 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
“We are proud to be recognized by the HRC for the sixth year in a row, reflecting the firm’s continued commitment and effort to community outreach, as well as creating and sustaining an equitable and inclusive culture that celebrates our LGBTQ+ individuals and communities,” said Joann Thach, senior director of diversity, equity and inclusion for Snell & Wilmer.

Kaelah Stark-Granger joins JRS Wealth Management/Wilde Wealth Management Group
Wilde Wealth Management Group, an award-winning independent financial firm with offices in Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Payson, Tucson and Indiana, is pleased to announce Kaelah Stark-Granger, MPA, has joined JRS Wealth Management Group as a Registered Administrative Representative. In her role, Stark-Granger works with clients in the areas of relationship management. She will work both virtually as well as from the firm’s Tucson office, which is located 1610 E. River Road. This office is unique in that it is a joint location between Wilde Wealth and its two Tucson partners, JRS Wealth Management and Hallmark Financial. Given the close relationship between the team, Stark-Granger will work closely on behalf of JRS in partnership with founder Jim Stark, her father, as well as with Wilde Wealth.
A Tucson native and Desert Christian High School alum, Stark-Granger earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in finance, both from the University of Arizona. Upon earning her master’s degree, Stark-Granger worked in nonprofit fund development for more than a decade, first at Tu Nidito Children & Family Services in Tucson and then as a nonprofit professional for the University of Rochester after relocating to New York with her husband in 2013.
“When COVID-19 hit, my husband and I found our routine – as so many of us did – changed dramatically, giving us both time to assess our careers based on our evolving goals,” says Stark-Granger, who is also a mother of five children ages 3 to 15. “I’d worked in finance as it related to the nonprofit world for many years, but when I began talking to my father about family financial planning as it related to my own family over the past year-plus, something just clicked. I found I not only had an interest but immediate passion in helping parents and families like my own planning for their futures.”
Stark-Granger holds Series 7 and 66 registrations and is in the process of studying for additional designations. She looks forward to mentoring under her father, a Tucson financial planning leader for more than 30 years and helping families across Pima County and beyond.
