Summer’s almost here, and Pieceful Solutions will host a summer camp for school-aged children, especially for those on the autism spectrum who seek structure and routine.

Pieceful Solutions, which operates three East Valley schools for students on the autism spectrum, is holding “Camp Discovery 2016” Summer Camps to help children and teens enjoy their time off from school at its Chandler campus at 550 W. Warner Rd.

From Monday, June 6 to Friday, July 1, two different half-day camps – one for children 5 to 11 years old and the other for those 12 to 17 years old – are available to give children and teens on the autism spectrum the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enriching learning opportunities.

The structured camps are rooted in fun, educational activities, which promote socializing and making new friends. Students have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, science experiments, and healthy cooking sessions, along with a series of computer and sensory activities.

The camps are designed to encourage children and teens to increase their social skills, independence and self-confidence in a safe environment.

Camp Discovery 2016 Summer Camps are being held at Pieceful Solutions’ Chandler campus with a $40 per day camp fee. Parents can select as many or as few days for campers to attend. Campers do not have to be students at a Pieceful Solutions’ school to participate.

Parents can register their children or teens now through Sunday, May 1, by calling 480-809-5552 or emailing enrollment@exceptionalexpectations.com.
