Salt River Project is inviting Valley nonprofit organizations to apply for the chance to receive a solar photovoltaic system (PV) for their roof or newly constructed covered parking structure provided by the SRP Solar for Nonprofits program.

For as little as $3 a month, SRP customers have donated valuable funds to Solar for Nonprofits.  Since 2007, the program has donated 57 solar photovoltaic installations, resulting in more than $450,000 in savings for nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix, Liberty Wildlife and Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona.

Through SRP Solar for Nonprofits customer contributions, SRP will apply funding to design, procure and install conventional fixed flat-panel solar PV power systems, which will enable nonprofits to offset a portion of their energy usage while educating the communities they serve about the benefits of solar power.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 8, and applications are available at srpnet.com/application.

Completed applications must be submitted to SRP by hand delivery, mail or email no later than Friday, Sept. 8.
