Turner Construction Company’s Scott Ellison, manager of Southwest Construction Services, was appointed to serve as treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Support Sky Harbor Coalition.

A construction industry veteran with 39 years of experience, Ellison’s record of increasing efficiency and profits will assist the organization dedicated to supporting the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PSHIA).

The Support Sky Harbor Coalition is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to educate the community about the economic and quality of life benefits that Sky Harbor brings to the people of Arizona, and to support the airport’s ongoing development and enhancement. More than 50 companies and organizations fund the coalition, which was founded in 2003.

As Turner’s manager of Southwest Construction Services, Ellison is responsible for the staffing, training, and safety requirements for each project in the Phoenix, Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Diego, Southern Nevada, and Albuquerque offices.

Currently he is focused on an expansive high-tech project in Phoenix’s East Valley, the $1B San Diego International Airport Green Build expansion, the Wilshire Grand in L.A., and expansion of the Los Angeles International Airport.

Ellison also serves as Chairman of the Arizona Construction Association, and Commissioner for the Skilled Standards Commission.

“Scott is an excellent choice to serve as treasurer,” said David Schwartz, executive director of the Support Sky Harbor Coalition. ” He has a stellar track record as a business executive and a community leader, and we are delighted to have his expertise and experience benefit the Support Sky Harbor Executive Board.”
