The University of Dubuque’s innovative LIFE program at its new Tempe site is making it easier than ever for adult students to go back to school. The LIFE program (Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement) offers accredited, flexible, and affordable bachelor’s and master’s degree programs designed for the busy adult life. Students can earn their degree in a face-to-face environment, at an accelerated pace, and at half the cost compared to other options.
University of Dubuque’s LIFE program is unique compared to traditional universities. Classes are offered on weekday evenings, allowing students to balance their studies, careers, and family life. The five-week course format allows students to complete courses at an accelerated pace, and with nine sessions offered year-round in the fall, spring, and summer, students can begin anytime.
The LIFE program provides quality education with student-centered instruction and personalized academic advising. Students meet face-to-face with their instructor in a small group of adult students for three hours, one night a week, in a comfortable learning environment.
The program was designed for students that are at least 23 years of age, with three or more years of work experience, and for first-time or transfer students. Credits from other accredited colleges and universities are acknowledged, so students can pick up where they left off.
The University of Dubuque Tempe is financially responsible to students with the lowest tuition cost available (post-community college) for all who apply. Additionally, parents needing childcare while attending can apply for childcare reimbursement. Federal financial aid is available to those who qualify and military benefits are accepted.
“Whether you want to advance your career, make a career change, or simply finish what you started, the University of Dubuque Tempe is here for you,” said Myke Tripp, director of LIFE admissions for Tempe. “Students receive a quality, affordable education, without sacrificing job duties or family time. The LIFE program was designed to support adult learners and help them succeed.”
The University of Dubuque Tempe is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers the most common undergraduate degree programs available: Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Business, Human Resource Management, and Marketing; Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice; Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration; and Bachelor of Science in Nursing for RN to BSN.
