Phoenix Collegiate Academy, a free public charter school for 5th through 12th graders, has a new high school building ready for students coming back to classes this fall.
The building was designed by Steven Brenden Architect and built by hardison/downey construction.
The 20,000 SF single-story building, at 12th St. & Broadway, includes classrooms, science labs, library, computer lab, lobby, student commons area and administration space housing staff offices, teacher workrooms, and conference rooms.
Since its inception, PCA has consistently been recognized as an outstanding educational facility, culminating with the distinction of being awarded the 2012 Arizona Charter School of the Year, given by the Arizona Charter Schools Association.
The success of PCA has landed it in the Building Excellent Schools (BES) family of schools nationally. In addition, it has recently been named recipient of the Inflection Point Grant, given by BES and funded by the Walton Family Foundation.
