The Foresight Technology Center (FTC) is focused on partnerships with OEMs and Semiconductor Fabs to support development and production of Hi Purity fluid delivery equipment for semiconductor and chemical markets. The Center will consist of Foresight’s existing 80,000-square-foot Tempe operations, plus a new adjoining 100,000-square-foot facility which is expected to be fully operational in Q3 2023. The Foresight Technology Center will create 250 additional jobs, doubling Foresight’s current employee headcount.
“We are excited to make this significant commitment to support the global semiconductor market,” said Jeff Hull, Foresight Chief Executive. “Foresight has been based in Arizona since 1995 and experienced continued growth due the relationships with leading semiconductor OEMs and proximity to the largest concentration of semiconductor fabs in the U.S. Growing and expanding our capabilities at our Tempe site was an easy choice.”
The Foresight Technology Center (FTC) will be focused on providing Hi Purity Equipment Integration and Fluid Acceptance Test facilities for Leading Edge OEM Modules, Slurry Systems, Chemical Distribution, Valve Manifold Boxes, Fab Infrastructure, and other plastic based equipment. The Center will serve both U.S. and overseas customers allowing them to rapidly add capacity, lower costs, and provide direct local support for their U.S. based fab customers, all while maintaining strategic end customer relations and product IP.
“Foresight’s expansion adds to Arizona’s fast-growing semiconductor ecosystem,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “The Foresight Technology Center will expand our semiconductor supply chain while creating skilled jobs. We are grateful to Foresight for its continued commitment to Arizona, furthering the state as a premier destination for advanced semiconductor operations.”
Founded in 1995, Foresight Technologies operates equipment manufacturing sites in Tempe, Arizona and Penang, Malaysia. Foresight is consistently one of the fastest growing companies in the industry and attributes that success to a strategic focus on production of hi purity chemical components, subsystems, and equipment. Success through vertical integration of all core manufacturing services, enables Foresight to provide products faster, with complete control of quality and at a lower cost than its competitors.
“Foresight has been a vital technology leader in our community for years,” said Tempe Mayor Corey Woods. “Not only does Foresight Technologies bring high-quality jobs to our city, but their international reputation for excellence enhances our city’s status as a technology magnet.”
Foresight’s expansion showcases Arizona’s rapid semiconductor industry momentum, with recent announcements including Moov and Cactus Materials in Tempe, Edwards in Chandler and Benchmark in Mesa.
