With Amkor’s transition into Core 2 of the Peoria Innovation Core (PIC), Council approved updates to the relevant development agreements that will advance the necessary infrastructure components required to bring the 56-acres to market. As part of that HonorHealth and the City have signed a Letter of Intent to build a medical district that will provide primary, urgent, concierge care and other ambulatory services on eight acres, with rights to a second eight-acre parcel as future healthcare demand dictates.  Final agreements and a City Council vote on a Development Agreement will take 4-5 months to finalize.

“Since becoming Mayor, attracting the right healthcare partner to meet the growing needs of Peoria has been one of my top priorities,” said Mayor Jason Beck. “I am incredibly proud of our partnership with HonorHealth that will bring a high-end medical district to development in Vistancia. Expanded medical services has been something residents long desired, and this partnership represents the significance of bringing top-tier healthcare services close to home. HonorHealth’s investment not only enhances access to these services but also creates new opportunities for quality healthcare jobs in our local communities.”

This news follow’s HonorHealth most recent Peoria investment. In April, HonorHealth opened a 95,000 square foot medical campus, just off the 101, south of Bell Road. That Peoria facility features a variety of services including imaging, infusion, clinical trials, medical oncology, physical therapy, primary care, and a surgical center.

“As a healthcare leader with deep roots in the Valley, we’re proud to deepen our connection with the residents of Peoria by bringing expanded access to high-quality care,” said HonorHealth CEO Todd LaPorte. “Being invited into this community as the partner of choice to develop critical healthcare services for the community is more than just an opportunity – it’s a responsibility we take seriously, and we look forward to serving with compassion and commitment to meet current and future needs.”
