The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced that shareholder Lincoln Combs has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the Arizona Association for Justice, also known as the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association (AzAJ/AzTLA).

The Association is an organization of lawyers dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting a fair and effective justice system, including the right to trial by jury. The AzAJ/AzTLA provides advocacy, continuing legal education and public education on behalf of its members and their clients. Concurrently with his position on the board of directors, Mr. Combs will continue to serve on the Legislative and Amicus Committees for the AzAJ/AzTLA. He has been a member since 2009.

Mr. Combs practices in the areas of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation, focusing on products liability, aviation disasters, general accident and negligence actions, elder abuse, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, professional malpractice, mass torts and insurance bad faith litigation. He also practices in the area of appellate law. In addition to his role with the AzAJ/AzTLA, Mr. Combs also serves on the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee for the State Bar of Arizona and is a member of the American Association for Justice. Earlier this year, he was recognized as a 2014 Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers.

Prior to joining Gallagher & Kennedy, Mr. Combs served as a law clerk for the Honorable Andrew D. Hurwitz on the Arizona Supreme Court. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2006 from Arizona State University. He earned his M.S.A. in 1997 from Ohio University and his B.A. in 1994 from the University of California, San Diego.
