Audience fit: Look at who follows them. Are these your customers? Check age, location, and interests.
Red flags:
- Follower count jumps 50,000 overnight
- Comments are all emojis or gibberish
- Engagement doesn’t match follower size
- They worked with your direct competitor last month
Spend time here. Pick wrong and your whole budget disappears.
Step 3: Give Them Direction Without Killing Creativity
You found your people. Great. Now don’t screw it up with a terrible brief.
Your brief needs:
- What you’re trying to accomplish
- How many posts, what format, which platforms
- Key points they should mention
