McDelivery with UberEATS is expanding across the United States and is now available in over 1,000 restaurants. Today, both McDonald’s and UberEATS jointly announced that customers in Los Angeles, Chicago, Columbus and Phoenix can now enjoy McDonald’s menu delivered right to their home, work or beyond through the UberEATS app.

“We are bringing a new level of convenience to more of our customers as we continue to transform the McDonald’s experience,” said McDonald’s President and CEO Steve Easterbrook. “Through the ease of the UberEATS app, our customers can enjoy their favourite McDonald’s foods delivered right to them enjoying greater choice, control and personalization than ever before.”

McDelivery is now available at 300 restaurants across Los Angeles; 267 throughout the Chicago area; 59 in Columbus; and 144 in Phoenix and will expand to additional cities in the coming months. In January, McDonald’s and UberEATS began piloting McDelivery in more than 200 restaurants throughout Miami, Orlando, and Tampa Bay. The pilot generated high levels of customer satisfaction and consistent growth as awareness increased as customers experienced the convenience of having their McDonald’s favorites delivered to their door.

“Whether you are at home or at the park, UberEATS has what you’re craving ready to be delivered at the tap of a button,” said Jason Droege, Head of UberEverything. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with McDonald’s in the U.S. to bring the ease and reliability of Uber’s technology to deliver customer’s favorite menu items.”

Globally, McDonald’s is already one of the largest providers of delivered food in the world and has over two decades of experience in delivery. Last year, McDonald’s saw nearly $1 billion in delivery sales across both company and franchise restaurants. The company’s most developed delivery markets are in Asia and the Middle East, where top delivery restaurants generate up to 40% of their sales from delivery.

“McDonald’s restaurant footprint, combined with the cutting-edge innovation of the UberEATS platform, positions us well to meet the consumer demand for fast and reliable delivery – making this an ideal partnership,” Easterbrook added.
