DEEPER DIVE: The Most Influential Women in Commercial Real Estate for 2025
Jenny Aust Turner, senior vice president, Cresa
Background: Turner provides invaluable guidance and direction to companies seeking integrated and comprehensive real estate solutions from strategy to implementation. Turner is responsible for managing real estate portfolios for several national accounts on an Arizona based Portfolio Account Team. Specializing in office and industrial real estate, Turner advises her clients on lease and sale negotiations to promote cost savings and improve efficiencies. Jenny was recently appointed to the board of CoreNet Global Arizona Chapter. Within Cresa, Turner is the co-chair of the Women of Cresa ERG and sits on the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC).
Source of pride: “I’ve been lucky to have a lot of small victories over the last 15 years in commercial real estate. From small lease renewals in middle of nowhere towns to large building sales in Mexico City or office leases in Hong Kong, I’ve had the privilege of working on just about every continent. When I started in Research at CBRE in 2010, I had no prior knowledge or experience in the industry. Now I am fortunate to be a leader on a Portfolio Account Team at Cresa where I have been for 7 years. I’m proud of the growth I’ve had over this period.”
Professional advice: “My mom used to tell me once she decided to be a mom and have a career, she was determined to be excellent at it. She didn’t want to be away from her kids only to be mediocre, so she might as well kick ass. That advice inspires me as a working mom and I think it can apply to anyone deciding how they want to approach their career, whether they are a working parent or not.”
Surprising fact: “I love to cook and am a pretty good baker. I make no less than 5 pies for our Family’s Thanksgiving every year (all from scratch) and I’m told they are very good. I like cooking for the 3 C’s: Control, Creativity, and Compliments.”
