Handcrafted by Vandelay Companies CEO Hunter Pond in collaboration with architecture firm DXU, Drake’s Hollywood blends the golden-era glamour of 1930s–1940s New York and Los Angeles with a high-energy dining experience. Building on this design aesthetic, Drake’s Scottsdale creates a cinematic atmosphere where Art Deco sophistication and Hollywood Regency opulence collide. Guests arrive via a classic valet-only entrance into a lavishly appointed space anchored by signature plush red leather booths and a central circular bar surrounded by vintage-inspired murals and hand-painted portraits of iconic legends. The interior pairs mahogany, character-rich burl, and high-shine lacquered woods with polished solid brass architectural details and luminous chandeliers, all set against striking black-and-white photography. Completing the space, two fully private dining rooms offer exclusive settings for intimate gatherings and celebrations.
Adding an extra layer of allure to the Scottsdale debut is Maître D’, Drake’s coveted, ultra-exclusive private club nestled discreetly within the venue. Accessible only via a private entrance, the intimate lounge offers an off-the-record escape for members seeking extreme privacy, world-class hospitality, and a distinct nightlife atmosphere. Designed for high-profile guests and discerning locals, Maître D’ features bespoke cocktail service, an elite wine menu, and a tailored late-night bite selection separate from the main dining room, setting a new benchmark for private social clubs in the Valley.
“Scottsdale is the perfect stage for our next chapter,” said Pond. “This city’s energy, style, and culinary scene make it a natural fit for Drake’s. We’re excited to introduce our take on elevated American dining, where every night feels like a special occasion.”
The Scottsdale menu spotlights a lavish blend of classic steakhouse staples and elevated comfort dishes. Starters include chilled raw bar favorites like steak tartare, spicy tuna crispy rice, and ahi pressed sushi, alongside indulgent hot appetizers such as lobster escargot, jumbo lump crab cake, and the brand-famous cauliflower dynamite. Entrée highlights feature signature pasta dishes like Pasta Za Za and Milo’s lobster pasta, seafood entrees including parmesan-crusted snapper, and roasted meats like the honey truffle chicken. For steak enthusiasts, a world-class beef program showcases USDA Prime cuts, dry-aged ribeye, and luxurious A5 Japanese Wagyu finished with white truffle butter. Guests can also share crisp wedge or little gem salads, and decadent sides like lobster mac and cheese, white truffle fries, and creamed corn. Dessert is a headline event in itself, starring the iconic, towering 24-layer strawberry cake.
Behind the central bar, martinis take the main stage, served at sub-zero temperatures for an icy, velvety texture. Headlined by the signature World’s Coldest Martini, a crisp mix of Grey Goose, vermouth, and citrus bitters, the cocktail menu also features Hollywood classics like the French 76, Bogart’s Gimlet, and Drake’s signature espresso martini, complemented by an extensive wine list spanning Napa Valley, Burgundy, Champagne, and Provence.
Additionally, the restaurant will host live music every Sunday in the dining room from 6-9 pm.
