Dahl Restaurant Group, led by award winning chef owner Lisa Dahl, will open its second Pisa Lisa location in July in Sedona’s Village of Oak Creek with expanded space and additional menu offerings inspired by her beloved original Pisa Lisa in West Sedona. The first location opened in 2013 and instantly became a must visit destination for tourists as well as a fixture in the local community, serving as a casual stop for wood-fired thin crust pizzas, organic salads, tapas, and locally made artisan gelato. Dahl’s sixth restaurant in Northern Arizona’s red rock country will continue to offer and expand upon the vibrant social environment and authentic pizza that Pisa Lisa has become synonymous with.

Named after an affectionate term given by Dahl’s late father whenever he would pinch his dotting daughter and say “I wanna little piece of Lisa,” Pisa Lisa shares signature personalized touches evident throughout the restaurant. Popular food selections are named after her family members like the Da Dorothy pizza after Dahl’s mother and made with Mother sauce, provolone-mozzarella, fennel sausage, picante peppers, Parm-Reggiano and the Justino pizza dedicated to her late son and made with Ricotta, provolone-mozzarella, San Danielle prosciutto gold, organic arugula, and white-truffle oil. The new location will also feature fan favorite Tuscan Tomato Bisque soup along with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. To meet customer demand, there are two Mugnaini pizza ovens, both embellished with stunning mosaics as the expansive space has allowed Dahl to broaden the dine-in menu inspired by Pisa Lisa’s first location.

Pisa Lisa in the Village of Oak Creek will introduce new dishes including tantalizing antipasto selections like Lisa’s Plate, an antipasti sampler with fresh bocconcini mozzarella, tomatoes, finnochio slaw, magic mushrooms, caselveltrano olives and fire-roasted artichokes. To satisfy every sweet tooth, the dessert menu is rich with tempting choices like affogato and newcomer Cookie Monster, a warm and molten giant chocolate chip cookie sundae with Strawberry-stracciatella plant-based gelato (vegan and gluten free). All Pisa Lisa desserts are house made by a pastry team dedicated to keeping the integrity of legendary favorites like the signature Tiramisu guests have adored for over 25 years. The Lemon Lover’s cheesecake made with homemade limoncello is among the top favorites, but every season the flavors change and there are no duds when it comes to the Decadent Dolci. Beverage offerings will include natural sodas, local mead, 16 taps for craft beers, and top selling wines. There is also offer a wide-ranging selection of healthy grab-n-go items including paninis, prepped pizzas, morning treats, and locally sourced roasted coffee.

“I put my heart and soul into the first Pisa Lisa location which is a testament to my dedication to serving people special experiences that will turn into cherished memories while honoring the adoration I feel for my family members who are no longer with us,” said Dahl. “This new location enables us to expand this heartfelt concept to a larger audience as it is ultimately a culmination of my work and passion for the Sedona culinary scene and my gratitude for those who dine at Pisa Lisa and stand with me in the belief that Rock ‘n’ Roll is here to stay!”

Pisa Lisa Oak Creek will offer a more refined and industrial look than its predecessor while retaining the iconic charm and bohemian flair to which locals and out of the area visitors have become accustomed to. Expanding on the earthy and hip aesthetic of her sister location, the new 3,500 square foot restaurant, boasts an expansive dining area with 110 seats (64 indoors, 46 patio seating) as well as two communal artisan style butcher board tables; encouraging a gathering atmosphere for having great food, camaraderie and good times for all. The elevated bar (seating 14) surrounded by an eclectic collection of Rock ‘n’ Roll memorabilia from the 60s, 70s, and 80s are sourced from a Capitol Records executive by Lisa’s brother, Jay Levinson.
