The 24th Annual Blues Blast Music Festival, presented by The Phoenix Blues Society, will take place on March 7, 2015 at Margaret T. Hance Park at 3rd St. & Moreland Ave. near downtown Phoenix.
The gates will open at 10 a.m. with music starting at 11 a.m. The headliners this year are Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, followed by The Plateros , The R.d. Olson Blues Band, The Blueshounds and Steve Rush. Steve Rush will also provide entertainment between acts.
There will be food, beverage and merchandise vendors. An art mural is open for everyone’s participation. Arizona Lindy Hop Society’s Steve Conrad will offer free blues and swing dance lessons during band breaks. There will be a free Kazoo, lesson and performance during the afternoon for all children.
Admission is $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show. Children 16 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult. Early Bird tickets are available now until February 1st here. Tickets may be purchased online until the day of show.
No ice chests or coolers are allowed. One sealed bottle of water allowed per person. No pets. No weapons. Pop-ups are allowed at the rear of the audience. Re-entry to the park is prohibited.
The park is easily accessible from the I-10 freeway or by exiting the Light Rail at the Roosevelt station and walk two blocks east to the park. Free parking south or east of park. Motorcycle parking is provided. For questions or information, click here.
