The Creative Center of Scottsdale, a co-working space in the heart of Old Town dedicated solely to artists, is currently accepting applications from local artists to set up shop during its second annual pop-up fair next spring.
The fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. Attendees can peruse local art pieces, take a peek inside the Creative Center of Scottsdale and meet the community of artists who worked there. The current tenants, who include painters, photographers, glass workers and more, will put their work on display during the free public event.
The Creative Center of Scottsdale is searching for additional artists who want to participate and sell their work. Artists will have a 10-by-10 foot display space on the center’s outdoor. Various mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry/metalsmithing and others will be considered. Artists interested can submit an application to artists@creativecenterscottsdale.com. If selected, the fee to rent the space is $25.
“The center is a creative, collaborative space and this event encapsulates that,” said Michelle Biely, owner of the Creative Center of Scottsdale. “This is not only a celebration of what we have built in the four years since we opened, but a celebration of the great art that comes out of Arizona.”
The Creative Center of Scottsdale is open to artists of all kinds. From painting to graphic design, sculpture, architecture and beyond, the building offers private studio options, drop-in day rates and open working spaces to fit every need.
