Camelot Homes, one of the most prominent homebuilders in Arizona, has announced a remodel division for older Camelot homes, along with homes outside of the brand. Camelot Homes’ managing director, Cammie Beckert, is taking the lead on these new services in partnership with an expert designer, who Camelot has had a long working relationship with.
Camelot’s remodel services unofficially began two years ago when Beckert remodeled a 1970s Camelot home for a client in McCormick Ranch. The home started at 2,648 square feet with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage. Camelot took the home down to the studs, converted a bedroom into a bonus room, added en suite bathrooms to each bedroom and a third car garage, taking the home to 3,484 square feet. With the success of this project, the team noticed a significant gap in the remodel market and took it upon themselves to implement change. Since that first project, Camelot has taken on a few more projects that are currently in the design phase. These initial projects are what led Camelot to formalize its remodel offerings and launch this new division of the company.
“The goal of our remodel services is to take outdated homes and turn them into homes of the future,” said Beckert. “We are seeing a trend in the marketplace right now of homeowners electing to remodel their existing home, as they love their current location and there is a shortage of new build opportunities in North Scottsdale. In fact, many prospective remodel clients are inspired by our White Horse model homes and look to us to create a similar feel in their current home.”
Camelot Homes will start this venture by focusing its efforts on homes in North Scottsdale, but are not limiting projects to only this area. Camelot remodel projects generally require a budget of $250,000 or more. The remodel process consists of a consultation leading into the planning, design and construction phases.
