The psychology of color has always been something exciting that should not go unnoticed by people; colors influence our lives more than we can think. They interact in decision making, in the storage of memories, in emotions, and our state of mind in general. It is possible that we have a preference for color and that it dominates our clothes for what it makes us feel.

How colors affect the brain

According to Tom Dixon, the energy of colors enters us through the sense of sight and makes us react unconsciously and almost without realizing it. If we have always associated a specific color with an idea, seeing that color will always give us a similar feeling. Each of us acquires specific knowledge; these are modulated by the experiences that, in turn, influence our peculiar way of understanding colors.

There is a range of shades that are associated with tranquillity, and that transmit us calm. These colors are usually the most recommended to paint the walls of a house or to generate a quieter environment.

The green tones transport our minds towards nature; it is said to be the most relaxing color for the nervous system of human beings. Green is a natural tranquilizer, and there is even talk of a healing power helping to stabilize emotions. It is also known as the color of hope.
