California-based Mendocino Farms has chosen Scottsdale Promenade for its first Arizona location, marking a significant step in the popular sandwich and salad shop’s continued national expansion. Scottsdale Promenade, a prominent lifestyle and shopping destination, is owned by FalconEye Ventures, a real estate investment company, and managed by Vestar, a leading privately held shopping center owner and manager in the western United States. The center offers the energy, visibility, and foot traffic that Mendocino Farms is seeking for its Arizona debut.

“We are very proud that Mendocino Farms has chosen to open their first location in the state at Scottsdale Promenade, and we’re confident it will quickly become a local favorite,” said Harrison Cole, Leasing and Development Manager at Vestar. “Their commitment to feel-good food made with wholesome, high-quality ingredients makes them a perfect fit for this health-conscious community.”
Slated to open in 2026 at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Paradise Lane, the new 3,000+ square-foot restaurant will also include a 500-square-foot patio, giving guests the option to enjoy the brand’s fresh menu both indoors and out. Founded in 2005, Mendocino Farms is a family-owned concept centered around its mission to help guests “Eat Happy,” offering chef-driven, elevated takes on classic lunch and dinner fare.
“Arizona has been a key growth market on our list as we continue expanding our footprint across the U.S.,” said Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms. “When determining where to introduce our brand to the state, The Promenade stood out for its strong visibility, high foot traffic, and complimentary retail environment, which will allow us to make a meaningful first impression in the market. We look forward to joining Scottsdale’s vibrant dining scene and creating a welcoming space for guests to gather and enjoy delicious, fresh meals when we open in 2026.”
As part of the brand’s broader expansion strategy, the Scottsdale Promenade restaurant will join approximately 80 existing Mendocino Farms locations across California, Colorado, Texas, and Washington, with growth planned in additional new markets. While menu offerings vary based on what’s in season, fan-favorite dishes range from the “Happy Hippie,” a veggie-heavy sandwich served on toasted honey whole wheat, and the “Not So Fried Chicken,” a healthier take on a traditional chicken sandwich, to the “Baja Green Goddess” salad and “Corn and Hatch Chile Soup”.
Western Retail Advisors broker Charles Skaggs represented Mendocino Farms in the transaction. Ryan Desmond, Bryan Ledbetter, Bryan Babits and Katie Weeks, also of Western Retail Advisors, serve as the exclusive listing brokers for Scottsdale Promenade.
