Today’s great American baking book has arrived in a special debut from Candace Nelson, founder and pastry chef of Sprinkles.

“The Sprinkles Baking Book: 100 Secret Recipes from Candace’s Kitchen” hits shelves on October 25, 2016 and is currently available for pre-order online. Sweet-toothed readers who pre-order the book from Sprinkles will receive two free cupcakes to tide them over while they wait for the book’s release.

When Candace opened the world’s first cupcake bakery in Beverly Hills in 2005, people thought she was crazy.  “What else do you sell?” they’d ask.  On opening day, Candace sold out of her freshly baked treats within a few hours… and most days since.  Today, Candace has grown Sprinkles to twenty locations with a dozen more in the pipeline.

“The Sprinkles Baking Book” pays homage to its cupcake roots with over 50 Sprinkles Cupcake recipes (with directions to bake them as cakes, too) including classics like Red Velvet, Banana and Vanilla Milk Chocolate and new flavors created exclusively for the book like Crème Brulee and Pineapple Upside-Down.

Dessert lovers will also find 50 of Candace’s favorite recipes for cakes, pies, quick breads, cookies, bars, ice cream treats and other all-American classics served up in a chic, understated elegance that has become a Sprinkles signature.  A nod to Sprinkles’ celebrity following the book also features recipes contributed by A-listers like Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Strahan and Jessica Alba.

Booklist reviewed “The Sprinkles Baking Book” saying “This is a must-have book for any baker or lover of sweet treats, and there are plenty of fans of the popular bakery chain who will be interested in these recipes, as well.”
