Families and their kiddos with big hearts, youngsters, future philanthropists and anyone who wants to raise money and awareness for childhood hunger will get a chance, with the help of Sam Fox of Fox Restaurant Concepts.
Everyday 1 in 5 children struggle with hunger across America, and this summer guests who visit participating Fox Restaurants will have the chance to make a difference.
June 3 through August 31, $1 from every participating Sam Fox Restaurant kid’s meal sold will be donated to No Kid Hungry, an organization that is combatting childhood hunger in America by making sure kids have the healthy food they need, every day.
“It’s wonderful that kids will be helping kids with this effort,” said founder Sam Fox. “Raising awareness and educating families about childhood hunger is crucial for organizations like No Kid Hungry to be successful, and we encourage the community to come together this summer and support their efforts to end childhood hunger.”
When guests order off the kid’s menu at True Food Kitchen, North Italia, Culinary Dropout, Flower Child, Blanco Tacos + Tequila, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar, and The Henry or cool down with the Strawberry Banana Oat smoothie at Juby True they will be directly helping the cause. Parents and kiddos alike won’t want to miss the specially priced for summer $3 kid’s meals at Zinburger that include a soft drink and choice of hand cut fries, sweet potato fries or ranch salad with their favorite entrée like a Turkey Sloppy Joe or classic Cheeseburger; or the Almond Butter, Strawberry and Banana Sandwich on grain bread with carrot sticks from True Food Kitchen.
No Kid Hungry makes sure that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and have healthy meals in the summer, and that their families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. Since the campaign’s launch, No Kid Hungry and its partners have connected kids struggling with hunger with 345 million additional meals.
