With all the fashion-forward clothing shops popping up in town, I will be bringing you bi-weekly installments of a sampling of the best boutiques Scottsdale has to offer. This week, we stopped by Heidi Boutique.

First Impressions

Heidi Boutique is situated in a very plush area of Scottsdale, and the store itself is positioned in a cute shopping plaza. When I entered, I noticed right away that it was well laid out. On tables in the middle were jeans and casual tops, and encircling the store were hanging rods with clothes hung up, making it look like a dreamy giant closet. It was easy to see what was where and seemed like a good use of the small amount of space the store has. The girl working was friendly, but not intrusive — a solid combo, in my opinion. And, although all this is great, we need to get down to the nitty gritty of what really matters — the clothes.

Clothing Analysis

Heidi Boutique has a great mix of clothing options and cuts. All of its jeans were constructed of a very soft material, and the dresses and tops varied in style and fabric. I noticed a lot of styles were reminiscent of the ’70s, which was a nice switch from the contemporary sameness that’s often carried at boutiques. The brands ranged from Juicy Couture and Ella Moss to more unique picks from fashion houses like Rubber Ducky Productions, Splendid, Fabulous and Broke, Trina Turk, and Textile. The jeans at Heidi were also top-of-the-line with a few select offerings of the best styles from Hudson, 7 for All Mankind, and others.

The prices here were steeper than I like to shell out, but Heidi Boutique does seem to have frequent sales and discounted items for those of us who don’t prefer to exchange $200 for every piece of fabric we purchase. Their sale items were well marked and seemed to offer fair prices. There was a nice range of dresses, skirts, rompers, blouses, jeans, shorts and pants, and for a small store, I was impressed by the variety. As for what I’d actually purchase there? Maybe a nicely constructed dress that I know I would wear a lot, or a good pair of jeans. I’d also always check out what they have on sale because some of their discounted pieces looked like very flattering fashion finds. The rest is too pricey for my less-than-champagne budget, and isn’t standout enough to be worth the splurge.

Tidbits and Takeaways

As is usually my opinion, save your cash on the basic wardrobe staples. Heidi offers some accessories, shoes and clutches, but I don’t recommend heading there for those items because they’re not worth their price tags. The simple shirts and shorts can be found elsewhere, but if you’re looking for a high-quality dress or some killer jeans, Heidi might be your new favorite place. Unique is the name of its game — especially if you’re into retro vibes — so I recommend giving them a try.

Juicy Couture English Snaffle Dress

This rather iconic Juicy English Snaffle dress came in at $198, but it is the real deal and definitely chic, so it may be worth the cash.

Ella Moss Skylar

An example of a great sale item at Heidi was this Ella Moss Skylar dress in Sangria — typically $185 and marked down to $111.

Hudson Signature Jeans

I also happen to adore Hudson Signature jeans, which were aplenty at Heidi, and can frequently be seen on celebs with serious style like Vanessa Minnillo.
