Tacos & Craft is now open at 4715 S. Rural Rd., #104, bringing high-quality craft-made tacos and brews to the Tempe community and surrounding neighborhoods. The elevated quick-casual restaurant is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday, March 2 with a family-friendly fiesta benefitting Junior Achievement.

The grand opening celebration will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy free chips and guacamole as well as beer and margarita sampling, a pinata (for kids and adults!), a DJ spinning tunes and more. Tacos & Craft will donate 20% of the proceeds from the grand opening festivities to Junior Achievement.   

Taking special pride in combining the perfect flavor profiles in a unique Mexican gastronomic experience, Taco & Craft menu highlights include unique “Tacos de la Casa” selections such as the Chipotle Salmon with hard-seared salmon, fresh apple-cucumber pico and a drizzle of cilantro-lime crema; Roasted Cauliflower topped with charred Romanesco salsa finished with pickled onions; and Camarones Fritos with Argentinian red shrimp made crispy and served with pineapple salsa and jalapeño slaw.

Diners can also enjoy selections from the “Tacos de la Calle” portion of the menu featuring Quesa Birria with slow-roasted goat meat and Oaxaca served with fresh chili consommé´; Al Pastor with achiote-marinated pork served with a charred pineapple salsa; and the Caramelo Mixto — a tortilla filled with Oaxaca cheese, carne asada and chorizo charred to perfection and finished with onions and cilantro.

A variety of “Aperitivos” get the dining experience started or serve as sharables for groups. Showstoppers include the Queso Fundido featuring melted Mexican cheeses, spicy chorizo and green chiles served with crispy tortilla chips; El Mar Mixto, featuring shrimp with fresh fish ceviche, pineapple-mango salsa, spicy cucumber, avocado mousse and pickled onions and fresno chiles served with plantain chips; and the Flautas de Res — slow-cooked seasoned shredded beef rolled in a crispy corn tortilla, served with avocado salsa.

Tacos & Craft has partnered with multiple locally owned micro-breweries as well as some standouts from across the country to present diners with an eclectic selection of beers to complement their dining experience. Highlights include Pueblo Vida Noctilucent Hazy IPA; Superstition Meadery Blueberry Spaceship Cider; Wiseacre Brewing Company Roasty & Toasty Coffee Stout; Pizza Port Brewing Co. Chronic Amber Ale and more.
