The Phoenix office of JLL has completed a lease that will establish a second Valley location for Phoenix-based coworking concept Workuity, expanding the company into the booming Chandler, Arizona office market with forward-looking amenities designed to meet the unique needs of entrepreneurs, small businesses and remote workers. The new creative, Class A space will sit within the Chandler Viridian master planned office project, at the intersections of Loop 101 and Loop 202 in Chandler, Arizona.

JLL Executive Vice President Ryan Bartos and Associate Kyle Seeger represented Workuity in the lease. Jerry Roberts and Pat Boyle of Cushman & Wakefield represented the building owners, Hines and New York Life Real Estate Investors.

“Chandler is one of the most active and robust office markets in all of metro Phoenix, and in great need of the type of modern amenities that Workuity provides, including convenient freeway frontage, fantastic walkable amenities and a polished presentation from the lobby all the way through Workuity’s modern workspaces,” said Bartos. “It continues the vision of the company’s flagship location – and Phoenix’s only high-end coworking operation – which opened just a year ago at 24th Street and Camelback Road, in the heart of the Camelback Corridor.”

Located at 3133 W. Frye Road, the new Workuity location will total 20,000 square feet of coworking space, including 55 private team offices, open workspaces, a business lounge and café. It will also offer five conference rooms that can be utilized at no charge by Workuity members and will be available to others to host meetings and events for up to 98 guests. Workuity can accommodate companies with one to 100 people.

Interiors will feature 14-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Like the Phoenix location, the Chandler Workuity location will offer high-speed Wi-Fi, free printing and free coffee, wine and beer. Workuity workspaces are available on a month-to-month, six-month or annual basis.

“Creative, collaborative work environments can play a transformative role in the growth and productivity of a new business,” said Workuity Founder and President Daniel Kite. “I based our first Workuity location on that premise, loading it with the amenities that I wish I’d had during my early career as a start-up business owner. That vision has resonated with the market, and I am proud to open a second location so quickly. In short, it is my goal to provide extraordinary workspaces to extraordinary companies.”

The new Workuity space sits on the ground floor of Chandler Viridian, a six-story, 250,000-square-foot office building and the centerpiece of a larger 25-acre mixed-use plan. Other amenities within the Chandler Viridian plan include a multi-story parking garage, Cambria hotel, luxury apartments, the Chandler Viridian PRIMEGATE retail center and a pedestrian promenade linking the property to Chandler Fashion Center, which encompasses 1.3 million square feet and more than 40 restaurants. At completion, Chandler Viridian will also include a dog park, jogging trail and large public plaza.

The new Workuity location at Chandler Viridian is scheduled to open in January 2019.
