Hines, the international real estate firm, has reached an agreement with Array Technologies for a 28,608 square foot lease at its Chandler Viridian office development.

Albuquerque-based Array Technologies, which just announced a capital infusion of $500 million from Blackstone, is relocating from its current Chandler office and will lease a large space on the office building’s 6th floor.

Array Technologies is one of several companies that have announced relocation plans to the Chandler development in the past few months, creating a significant amount of leasing momentum for the project.

Over the company’s 30-year history, Array Technologies has expanded its manufacturing base in the United States to become a global provider of solar tracking solutions. As the global market for utility-scale tracked solar expands, so too does Array, with projects and offices in a growing number of countries.

Chandler Viridian is a premier mixed-use development integrating residential, Class A office, hospitality and retail developments located at the intersection of Loop 101 and Loop 202. The project boasts exceptional access to local freeways and significant nearby restaurants and amenities, including Chandler Fashion Center mall. The project was named NAIOP’s 2019 Mixed Use Project of the Year and Spec Office Building of the Year.

Chandler Viridian also recently earned Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Core and Shell rating system. The green features include low-flow water fixtures, LED lighting and native and drought tolerant plants.

“Array Technologies is a valued member of Chandler’s business community and we are thrilled to see them recommit to Chandler with this long-term lease on Price Corridor,” stated Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “We are confident that Chandler offers the skilled workforce, top-notch educational opportunities, and diverse housing options that will allow Array Technologies to grow into the future.”

“In line with our vision for environmental impact, we are pleased to be part of a sustainably designed building for our Chandler office. We are also excited to welcome our employees to our new home in Chandler Viridian and be part of such a dynamic development,” said Erica Brinker, chief marketing officer and head of ESG at Array Technologies. “The quality of the LEED certified building and the abundant nearby amenities made it an ideal choice for our company’s needs as we plan our future growth.”

“We are pleased with the leasing momentum we are experiencing at Chandler Viridian and proud to welcome Array Technologies to the project,” said Brandon Dillingham, managing director for Hines. “This is a dynamic and growing company in a very compelling industry that will be an important part of our future energy needs.”

Hines also recently leased two of four high-end spec suites that were specifically built out at Chandler Viridian to provide potential tenants with an immediately available, state-of-the-art office environment. And Hines recently signed a 15,000 square foot lease with NovaSource Power Services.

Andrew Medley from JLL represented Array Technologies in the transaction. The leasing team that represented Hines in the transaction was Jerry Roberts and Pat Boyle at Cushman and Wakefield.

“This is another great example of the interest we are seeing at Chandler Viridian,” Roberts said. “It is an extremely attractive project with incredible surrounding amenities and we are grateful to be seeing high-level companies becoming a part of this development.”

“Signing a lease with Array Technologies is another big win for Chandler Viridian.  The competition for this deal was fierce and we were happy to get it finalized for a large portion of the top floor,” Boyle said. “We appreciate the work from everyone at Array and JLL to get this deal done – special thank you to Andrew Medley for the opportunity”.
