Tri Pointe Homes, a recognized leader in the homebuilding industry that served the Phoenix market for over 25 years under the name Maracay, has announced the acquisition of 210 homesites on which it plans to build new homes in three communities across the Phoenix metro. The land purchases in Chandler and San Tan Valley fit the homebuilder’s growth strategy and focus on areas with convenient access to major transportation and employment corridors, as well as educational centers and consumer attractions.

“Our goal is to always create healthy and sustainable communities, and land acquisition is the first step in that process,” said Tri Pointe Homes Arizona’s Division President James Attwood. “Such a finite and precious resource requires thoughtful planning so that the real estate is used in an environmentally responsible way and benefits both the lives and lifestyles of the homeowners. The new communities and neighborhoods to come from these three acquisitions in the Valley will reflect that.”

Tri Pointe Homes acquired 86 homesites in Chandler on almost 26 acres that formerly served as a plant nursery. The new community, Treeland, plans to offer 45’ and 55’ wide residences with approximately four different floorplans to choose from. The homes are anticipated to range from about 2,400 to 3,200 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2.5 to 3 baths. On tap for Treeland are nursery-inspired community gardens and greenspaces as well as easy access to employment centers and the restaurants and high-end retail of the Ocotillo area. Development is anticipated to start in late 2021, with an opening expected in 2023.

Less than 14 miles to the east in San Tan Valley, Tri Pointe Homes acquired 52 homesites for development into a new neighborhood in Oro Ridge. The 50’ and 55’ wide single-family homes on approximately 70’ x 120’ homesites are anticipated to range from about 2,600 to 2,900 square feet with 4 bedrooms and up to 3 baths. Backed by the stunning San Tan Mountain Range, the community is expected to include a trail system and pocket parks, and will offer easy access to East Valley commercial and entertainment centers such as Schnepf Farms. Development by Tri Pointe Homes is underway with sales anticipated to start in 2022.

Lastly, Tri Pointe Homes’ approximately 27-acre acquisition, also in San Tan Valley, is slated to become a 72-homesite neighborhood in the second phases of the master-planned community of Bella Vista Farms. Anticpated to open in 2023, Tri Pointe’s 50’ wide single-story homes are expected to offer three different floor plans, with living spaces ranging from about 2,700 to 3,100 square feet with 4 to 5 bedrooms and 2.5 to 4 baths. Well-located in the desirable Southeast Valley, the community offers easy access to major tech employment centers and plentiful shopping, dining and entertainment options in Queen Creek.
