Arizona-based commercial and industrial contractor Primak Construction Group, and Cunningham Aviation, have broken ground on a ground up project for Cunningham’s services at Falcon Field in Mesa with the addition of a new aircraft hangar building, and a new Fixed Base Operations (FBO) building. The new ground-up project will sit on 3.3 acres and will feature 36,000 square feet of aircraft hangars across three buildings, in addition to a stunning, two-story, 7,346 square feet FBO facility. The project will add to Cunningham’s extensive footprint at the municipal airport.

In addition to the new aircraft hangars that will be available for lease, the two-story FBO building will be situated directly adjacent to the flightline and will include snooze rooms and a private kitchen area for pilots to relax and recharge. The structure will also offer a grand entrance off the tarmac, as well as second floor office suites.

“This project has been a long time in the making,” said George Cunningham of Cunningham Aviation. “We worked with the Primak Construction Group, and Design Professionals, LLC, for more than a year to ensure we were bringing another quality project to Falcon Field.”

“We couldn’t be happier to be working with the Cunningham Family on the construction of his new facility at Falcon Field” said Lou Primak, president and COO of Primak Construction Group. “This new, state of the art facility will not only expand Cunningham Aviation’s presence at Falcon Field and will also provide much needed space and amenities to the people who travel through the airport every day.”

Construction is anticipated to take around forty-four weeks, with an estimated completion at the end of May 2026.
