Equity Land Group, a Phoenix-based land investment and development company, announced today it has closed on one more property and is set to close on another in Arizona for a combined purchase price of $3 million, making it the firm’s largest raise to date in one transaction. Including this deal, which raised funds in two months, Equity Land Group has raised more than $9 million in less than two years.
The land investment company adds two Buckeye properties including a 19-acre parcel off of Miller Road and Interstate 10 as well as a 9-acre property located off Yuma and Palo Verde Roads.
“We’re seeing a huge spike in interest in Buckeye and as we already have a property there from one of our last deals, it made sense to invest in more land in that area,” said Anita Verma-Lallian, co-founder of the land investment company . “We have been seeing a significant increase in demand from our investors and decided to add on a second property because of that demand.”
The Miller Road parcel is adjacent to the Ford dealership in Buckeye and could be used for a car dealership, office/flex industrial, hotels, storage, and numerous other uses. In the next year, there will be significant residential development around this property, with an estimate of more than 5,000 homes in a master-planned community. The land investment company is also installing a digital billboard on this parcel to be used for advertising opportunities for nearby businesses.
The Yuma Road property is adjacent to the Buckeye Airport and Cipriani, a large master-planned community with an estimate of 3,000 homes in the works. This property is in one of the few opportunity zones in Buckeye and could be used for light industrial, office, flex, multifamily, commercial, and retail.
For both of these properties, Equity Land Group worked with a new partner. Seema Patel with Dot to Dot Consulting, LLC leveraged her strategic thinking and creativity to help the land investment company with this current deal in a short period of time.
“Dot to Dot Consulting was an asset in connecting Equity Land Group with a diverse group of investors,” said Smita Patil Mehta, co-founder of Equity Land Group. “Seema’s ability to leverage her skills and passion made it easier to communicate and network.”
Patel added, “working with female entrepreneurs who are on the cutting edge of Arizona land investing was exciting for me. Equity Land Group has a transparent and easy way for investors to engage.”
The land investment company is currently negotiating on several other parcels in the Valley with increasing interest from investors on the sites.
