RED Development announced that First Solar — the leading solar technology and manufacturing company in the U.S. — is relocating its offices from Tempe to The Grove, the landmark mixed-use destination at 44th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix, with plans to open this fall.
First Solar will occupy 18,725 square feet on the second floor of the Class-AA office building, joining a prominent roster of tenants at The Grove’s 180,000-square-foot office building, including JPMorganChase, PWC, Clayco, JLL and others.
Samantha Sloan, executive vice president of Corporate Affairs at First Solar said, “We look forward to placing our Arizona-based team in a setting designed for performance and flexibility. This new base supports how we work today while positioning us for what’s next.”
The building features interiors by acclaimed designer Judi Testani of Testani Design Troupe and architecture by George Melara of Nelsen Partners. Along with panoramic views of Camelback Mountain, the office offers a robust lineup of amenities.

“First Solar’s longstanding presence in the area underscores the city’s momentum, contributing to the kind of long-term economic growth and innovation we’re committed to supporting,” said Christine Mackay, director of community and economic development for the City of Phoenix.
The Grove is a $400 million, 750,000-square-foot mixed-use destination. In addition to First Solar’s lease, JPMorganChase recently expanded its footprint by 15,138 square feet at The Grove, totaling nearly 40,000 square feet across the second and fourth floors.
“First Solar is a strong addition to the tenant mix at The Grove and a clear reflection of the type of forward-thinking companies that see long-term value in this location,” said Mike Ebert, managing partner at RED. “The sustained demand we’re seeing speaks to the appeal of a walkable, mixed-use environment that delivers a high standard of design, amenities and connectivity.”
