Goodmans Interior Structures, a Phoenix-based Herman Miller commercial dealer and interior general contractor, announced today the acquisition of WORKspaces, another Phoenix-based Herman Miller dealer. This move joins two great organizations that together further support Goodmans’ capabilities to provide all customers in Arizona with enhanced services by leveraging their proprietary project management technology and DIRTT interior construction to provide superior customer experience.

WORKspaces team members will join forces with Goodmans to continue to support local corporations, hospitals, colleges and universities, and government agencies. The newly formed team will operate out of Goodmans’ newly renovated corporate headquarters located on Indian School Road in central Phoenix.

Adam Goodman, CEO, shares, “I am delighted to welcome the team from WORKspaces, and offer them the special experience of working at Goodmans. Together we will pursue our ambition to make a positive impact on our community by helping patients to heal, helping students to learn, reducing the cost of government for taxpayers and making our corporations more competitive. Our vision for the community gives our employees the opportunity to do meaningful work with a sense of purpose. This engagement translates to a better experience for our customers.”

John Michael, Vice President of Distribution Channels for Herman Miller says, “The aim of the Herman Miller Certified Dealer Network is to provide a consistent experience to all customers. These two great dealers coming together will help to provide cohesive familiarity and expertise throughout the Phoenix market – improving the buying experience for Herman Miller customers in the region.” Said John Michael, Vice President of Distribution Channels, Herman Miller.

A core value of WORKspaces business has been to build partnerships that foster relationships. Goodmans has earned a reputation as a progressive company with an especially distinctive culture focused on changing communities by empowering local business growth. This alignment in values and industry expertise helped to substantiate the union of the two dealers.

John Beck, WORKspaces Principal, says, “This opportunity came at a perfect time for us. This transition offers our outstanding team of employees a personal opportunity for growth and an enhanced opportunity to serve and support our clients. We strongly believe in local business and didn’t want to sell to an out of state organization so as a fellow Herman Miller dealer, Goodmans was the natural fit. We admire what Adam and his team have achieved at Goodmans and we are confident our people and our clients will be in good hands.”

Andrea Bailey, WORKspaces Principal, says “Selling WORKspaces was not an easy decision but it made sense for John and I, our people and our clients. Goodmans’ proprietary project management technologies provide clients with an exceptional and consistent experience no one else in Arizona can deliver. We know our clients and employees are in good hands, something that was most important to us in our decision to partner with Goodmans. In addition, the Goodmans culture is renown in our industry. It is THE place to work. Our people, and that includes me, are thrilled at the opportunity to jump right in.”
