Thirsty Lion Gastropub will be opening at PRIMEGATE, the flagship component of the 25-acre, award-winning Chandler Viridian mixed-use project at the entrance to the Chandler Fashion Center super-regional luxury mall, and at the NWC of the Loops 101 & 202 freeways interchange, in Chandler, AZ.
Thirsty Lion is a nationally expanding, Oregon-based, full-service restaurant concept. It features a scratch kitchen, seasonal menus, weekend brunches, mixology, a vast selection of tap beer & sports as well. Thirsty Lion is among the nation’s Top 50 Emerging Restaurant chains and is ranked nationally in the Top 12 Most Successful Emerging Restaurants.
The new building housing the Thirsty Lion restaurant boasts trendy, progressive architecture and sits on the hard corner portion of PRIMEGATE which provides for great exposure, as well as for easy access for patrons.
WINLEE Development, the commercial real estate division of Phoenix based investment firm Winfield Lee Investments, is developing the 7,600 sf Thirsty Lion Gastropub which will open in February, 2020.
“We are delighted to have a full-service restaurant of the caliber of Thirsty Lion Gastropub join PRIMEGATE. We’ve had enormous demand for our project, but we took our time to carefully create a selective tenant mix resulting in an energetic, yet polished experience true to the original vision. PRIMEGATE blends high-end services with various refined, complementary dining options, all on generational real estate and in a 1st class setting,” said WINLEE’s President, Peter Nelson.
PRIMEGATE is the capstone to the $250,000,000 Chandler Viridian project which recently won the NAIOP’s Mixed-Use Project of the Year award. Chandler Viridian was master-planned by Hines and developed by a consortium of Hines, WINLEE Development, Alliance Residential & Concord Hospitality. The project features Class-A office, Luxury Residential, Business Luxury Hospitality and the PRIMEGATE offerings all in a fully integrated campus replete with attractive architecture, wellness trails, fountains and even a dog park. Located at the entrance of Chandler Fashion Center, other notable neighboring users are Nordstrom, Apple, Microsoft, Lululemon, Harkins Fashion 20 Theatres, Crayola Experience, as well as Super Target & Costco.
“We at Thirsty Lion are very excited to be joining the PRIMEGATE development in Chandler. This will be our 5th location in the Phoenix metropolitan area,” said Thirsty Lion CEO John Plew. The PRIMEGATE restaurant will be the 10th Thirsty Lion nationally, with more locations already in the expansion pipeline.
The project is being developed by WINLEE Development (a division of Phoenix-based Winfield Lee Investments). Construction of PRIMEGATE is currently completing and Thirsty Lion (opening February, 2020) will join The Sicilian Butcher (opening this Fall, 2019), Panera (already open), and Charles Schwab (opening December, 2019) in the now fully leased project.
