Interior David SmithKitchell recently completed the first phase in transforming the Scottsdale Bible Church campus at Shea Blvd. and 76the Street. The work included construction of Grace Chapel, which serves as a “front door” to the entire 18-acre campus, as well as the Special Ministries classrooms and the Student Center. In addition, Kitchell remodeled administration areas, a large bathroom and a kitchen.

The 300-seat Grace Chapel, a welcoming, elegant wood-beamed beacon to the surrounding community, faces Shea Boulevard. It will be used for weddings, memorials, worship and other significant gatherings. Phase two of construction, a nine-month project that recently began, comprises the demolition of the current administration/ multiuse building and building a new Student Ministries (K-4) facility and café. A complete remodel of the current 2,000-seat Worship Center will take place in phase three. Other work includes enhancing the central courtyard and redesigning the flow of the campus.

Scottsdale Bible Church opened its doors 52 years ago with 13 followers. It has grown since then to accommodate 5,000 worshipers weekly. It plans to launch four new campuses over the next five years to bring its ministry to other parts of the Valley.
