Principal Architect and Partner at GDASW Architects and past Southern Arizona and Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects Kevin Morrow passed away in mid-June from complications due to early on-set Alzheimer’s.
Morrow was born on February 23, 1953 and passed away on June 15, 2016.
He was an avid cyclist for most of his life and a member of the “Bookman’s Sports” cycling club. He was a Senior member of the Centurions, and previous member of the TMC Foundation Board. When he was no longer able to work or cycle and his vision and balance were failing, he spent endless hours collecting rocks in the desert and enjoyed morning walks with his neighbor Ken.
On Sundays he found solace in attending mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Honesty, integrity and faith were all traits ingrained by his late parents, Evelyn and Thomas F. Morrow, MD. He shared a rich childhood in Wichita, Kansas, with five brothers and sisters along with several friends who still remain close. Kevin loved to toss back a few beers and visit with family and friends. He always enjoyed a good party and was well known as an “enthusiastic” dancer.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Friday, July 8th at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Memorial mass will be held at Noon, Saturday, July 9th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Pio Decimo, Tucson 85715.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association . Please be sure to indicate in your message when making your donation in Kevin’s name that it be made to the Desert Southwest Chapter Southern Arizona Region at 1159 N. Craycroft Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712.
