Phoenix Towers is a unique high-rise residential community in the heart of Phoenix’s arts district, just north of downtown on Central Avenue. Built in 1957 as a resident-owned cooperative community, Phoenix Towers is now considered an outstanding example of mid-century architecture and is listed on the Department of the Interior’s register of historic buildings. Located along the western edge of the historic Alvarado neighborhood, Phoenix Towers is immediately next door to the world renowned Heard Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Theater, and the main branch of the library.
Phoenix Towers recently completed a $5M renovation program that included new dual-paned windows, replacement and upgrading of the air conditioning system, refurbishment of the swimming pool and patio, and a totally redesigned penthouse floor consisting of an enclosed community room (with floor to ceiling windows) and a covered terrace. Ghaster Painting & Coatings was selected to paint the entire exterior of this historic building.
