Sun State Builders (SSB), a leading design-build general contractor, is breaking ground on Crossroads at Surprise, a 114,495-square-foot industrial building for The Widewaters Group Inc. The $11 million ground-up build situated on a 7.3-acre site is located at 134th Avenue and Bell Road in Surprise. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday, November 12 and construction is targeted for completion in September 2025.

The Widewaters Group Inc. is an integrated real estate development firm headquartered in New York that has developed and acquired more than 13 million square feet across the United States. Crossroads at Surprise is Widewaters’ newest development projects.

Ware Malcomb provided architectural design services for the project. Their design includes a 130-foot truck court, 11 grade-level loading doors, and 12 dock-high loading doors with knockouts for 13 more. The industrial facility will also feature 32-foot clear height for product scaffolding and 132 parking spaces. Keri Scott and Chris Reese of Colliers will represent The Widewaters Group to lease the space.
