Construction is underway on Peak 16, a luxury apartment community located on 16th and Colter Streets in uptown Phoenix, by Kansas City-based VanTrust Real Estate.
Designed by Phoenix-based ORB Architecture, the four-story, wood-framed, podium deck development sits on nearly four acres and is planned to be finished in March 2018.
Phoenix-based Wespac Construction Inc. is the general contractor on the project. Once complete, VanTrust’s portfolio will include over 2,700 residential units across the country.
The 233-unit, multifamily apartment community offers amenities including a resort-style swimming pool and spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor barbecues, a multi-purpose clubhouse, underground parking and gated surface parking for residents. Peak 16 is located near the Camelback Corridor.
“The Piestewa Peak area is gaining significant attention as a center for growth, with a resurgence in the surrounding retail market and high-end residential units either under construction or in the pipeline,” said Sandy Broadfoot, vice president and general counsel of VanTrust. “East Camelback appeals to young professional households due to its central location and short commutes to the Valley’s various employment hubs, cultural attractions, retailers and restaurants.”
The site is very close to multiple retail centers including Biltmore Fashion Park, Camelback Colonnade and Town & Country as well as popular, upscale restaurants.
To complete the project Van Trust is teaming with local Phoenix luxury multi-family development company Vedura Residential.
