The Arizona Diamondbacks will host five Throwback Thursdays, presented by Chase, this season and will include a poster giveaway for the first 5,000 fans at each Thursday game.
Each Throwback Thursday (#DbacksTBT) will have a theme of a D-backs playoff team throughout history and this Thursday will be the first of the season honoring the 1999 team that played in the National League Division Series.
The Throwback Thursday themes will go in chronological order and will include a poster featuring each respective team, including 1999 NL West Champions (April 7), 2001 World Series Champions (April 28), 2002 NL West Champions (May 12), 2007 NL League Championship Series team (Aug. 25) and the 2011 NL West Champions (Sept. 15).
Each themed Throwback Thursday will also feature alumni from the respective playoff team to participate in the ceremonial first pitch and other Throwback Thursday activities.
D-backs players and on-field personnel will wear the Alternate Home Vest Uniform (worn from 1998-2006) for every Throwback Thursday. Fans can expect to see the retro purple and teal colors incorporated in every game element at Chase Field, including signage, video and photos on dbTV. Fans are also encouraged to wear the throwback purple and teal colors on Throwback Thursdays and the Chase Field Team Shop will offer a wide variety of items featuring the retro colors for fans to purchase.
In addition, Chase credit or debit card users will receive special offers each Thursday, including:
- 30-percent discount on ticket pricing in select areas of the ballpark
- $25 D-bucks card when they spend $75 in the Team Shop
- Cracker Jack or Peanuts at Taste of Chase or Oasis in the Sandlot for only $1
