How do you get 35 HVAC units to the top of a roof in 90 minutes? With help of an aerial crane, of course.

It’s a method that has been used in construction since the 1960s when traditional equipment isn’t feasible for areas with limited access.

Construction for Phase 3 of Elliot Business Park, a 350, 000 SF facility under construction in Tempe, used an aerial crane recently to place the 35 HVAC units.

The entire operation was managed by Airwest Helicopters, LLC; Swisher HVAC; and D.L. Withers Construction.

Expected project completion is 1Q 2013.
