NKF’s Kathleen Morgan earns CoreNet Global’s MCR

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) announced that Managing Director Kathleen Morgan, CCIM was awarded one of commercial real estate’s most prestigious designations, the Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR), by CoreNet Global, the world’s leading association for CRE executives. Ms. Morgan, out of NKF’s Phoenix office, has 20 years of experience as a leader in Arizona medical/healthcare real estate investment solutions. Ms. Morgan and Managing Director Trisha Talbot, CCIM were ranked the number one Medical Office Brokerage firm in AZ Big Media’s Ranking Arizona feature in 2018. Additionally, she has ranked as one of the top five producing brokers in NKF’s Phoenix office for the past four years.

The CoreNet Global MCR professional designation was established in 1982 and is part of a comprehensive career development program for the corporate real estate industry, which includes more than 100 hours of classroom training, two elective seminars and a Capstone experience, and a rigorous assessment, all within a five-year period. The MCR, awarded to over 2,500 individuals since its inception, delivers essential skills focused on critical business issues, and reflects strategic competence and successful experience as a corporate real estate specialist.

Michelle Rae joins Newmark Knight Frank as associate

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) announced the addition Michelle Rae, joining as an associate in the Phoenix office. Ms. Rae will work alongside Managing Directors Trisha Talbot and Kathleen Morgan specializing in medical/healthcare leasing and assisting the team in all facets of its full-service healthcare portfolio, including tenant representation, landlord representation, leasing and investment sales.

“A leasing specialist with over ten years of experience, Michelle’s knowledge of the Arizona leasing landscape affords her a client service perspective that will benefit our Phoenix office, our team and our clients,” commented Morgan. “We are thrilled that she has joined NKF.”

Prior to joining NKF, Ms. Rae was a leasing associate for Healthcare Trust of America, Inc., where she represented a 1.2 million-square-foot medical office portfolio in Arizona. Her experience also includes nine years as a leasing expert at Cushman & Wakefield and Transwestern. Ms. Rae graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in geography and urban studies.

MJ Insurance adds to growing Phoenix team

MJ Insurance, one of the nation’s largest privately-held insurance agencies with more than five decades of success, has named Megan Hodges, Employee Benefits Consultant and Mollie Johnson, Employee Benefits Assistant Account Manager for its Phoenix office located at 3900 E. Camelback Rd.

Hodges, a 14-year sales professional, most recently served as senior account executive for FlexPrint where she repeatedly achieved the honors of Presidents Club and Sales Representative of the Year for top revenue production. She earned a finance degree from W.P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University.

Hodges will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, creating relationships with key decision-makers, and matching optimal MJ Insurance products to client’s business needs.

Johnson previously served in the human resources department for ManpowerGroup of Milwaukee, Wis., where she analyzed assessment data, and collaborated with global marketing to enhance the company’s brand. She earned her degree in family studies and human development from University of Arizona.

She will be supporting the day-to-day operations of MJ’s benefit plans, client strategies and work closely with the Health Risk Management team in the analysis of claims information and reporting.

Susanna Reust joins Kidder Mathews’ Debt & Equity Finance Services

Susanna Reust has joined Kidder Mathews’ Phoenix office in an expansion of the firm’s Debt & Equity Finance Services to the Phoenix market, and she has been named a vice president in the firm.

Reust has over 15 years of experience as a banker and a broker working with clients and lenders, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bank portfolio, CMBS, and bridge loans. Her finance transaction expertise includes short and long-term financing, fixed and floating debt, new construction, acquisitions, and debt restructuring.

Employers Council names Arizona president

Employers Council, a Denver-based nonprofit organization that provides employers with resources focused on employment law and human resources, has appointed a new leader to head up the organization’s Arizona region.

It was just announced that Karen Stafford is the Arizona President. Stafford joined Employers Council in 2004. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Stafford holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and currently serves on the faculty of the W.P.Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

With over 25 years of human resources experience, Stafford has served in senior management and HR consulting positions in a variety of business settings.  From non-profit agencies and small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations, Stafford’s expertise spans the industries of property casualty insurance, family entertainment, health care, and banking.  

Jennifer Ward, the former president has stepped down to spend more time with her family.
