When locals go out to eat in Phoenix they must sift through the Valley’s culinary landscape to find the best eats in town, from small, neighborhood bistros to classic resort fare at 5-star restaurants. GoodTil2 helps foodies find the local gems, glittering among the national chains.

A Phoenix couple want to make the search for genuine local fare a little easier through GoodTil2, a website and app they are launching June 15.

“Our goal is to help support local restaurants, big or small, and give foodies a quick reference on where to go to eat excellent local food,” said Mark Blum, co-founder of GoodTil2 with his wife, Kasia. “When we hit 100 restaurants on our site, that was the trigger to go live with it.”

The Blums have reached that magic number and will be launching the site this week, with more restaurants signing up daily to be part of the directory.

The site is free for restaurants to list, and free for food enthusiasts to use. All that is required is creating an account with a login and a password. Restaurant owners add photos of their signature dishes and offer three specials that can be redeemed via the Goodtil2.com app, available on Google Play and in the App Store.

When a Foodie signs in to GoodTil2, they look at the selection of restaurants, which automatically load based on the person’s geography. For example, if someone were near Camelback and Scottsdale roads, they would see El Hefe first on their list. The user clicks on a restaurant profile, sees a special that they like and clicks redeem. When they do that, Goodtil2.com sends an email with the offer, which must be used that day at the restaurant they chose.

Restaurant owners get notification that someone has selected their special so they can track which deals are being used. They can update and change their offerings as frequently as they wish.

“For Foodies, it’s a great incentive to explore different locally-owned restaurants,” Blum said. “For restaurant owners, Goodtil2.com gives them a way to reach new customers, improve their visibility and gain SEO through their free listing with us. It also helps them evaluate their current deals and determine what marketing strategies are most successful.”

Those are some of the reasons the team at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row signed on with GoodTil2.

“We are proud to be owned by a Phoenix native and we appreciate the local cuisine of his hometown,” said Sean Franz, marketing manager at Riot Hospitality Group.  “Being a part of GoodTil2 is a great way to support local restaurants and for us to bring in additional guests.”
