Join W Scottsdale on the WET deck as it transforms into a red, white and blue celebration. Guests can cool off from the summer heat by the pool or enjoy a game of life sized Checkers, Jenga, Connect Four and Cornhole. To kick off the festivities, local resident DJs, Soloman and Knick Knack, will perform followed by international DJs Amtrac and Posso. The festivities will go into the evening as the sky illuminates with a spectacular fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. Guests dressed in patriotic attire will have a chance to win a variety of prizes.
Kentucky-born Caleb Cornett a.k.a., Amtrac, returns to the Valley after his performance at Sound Wave music festival in September 2013. Amtrac released his single titled “Came Along” where the music video debut on MTV’s Clubland in October 2011. The musician, producer and DJ creates hype by adding funk into his signature deep house style. On March 13 Amtrac collaborated with Posso and released “Don’t Know,” which received major recognition from top music blogs including Dancing Astronaut, This Song is Sick and more. His most recent EP titled “Undefeated/Primal” was released through Armada Music’s newest deep house label, Black Book Audio. The EP’s title track “Undefeated” was named one of the “most note-worthy new tunes in dance music” according to Billboard.
Los Angeles DJ and designer duo, Vanessa Giovacchini and Marylouise Pels, better known as Posso, has garnered world-wide attention for their innovative work that intertwines fashion, music and art. Posso has performed at superclubs, fashion events, and festivals including Summer Sonic Music Festival in Japan, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and HARD Festival’s Holy Ship Cruise. The DJ duo released their original single titled “So High” in February 2013 through Boiler House Records and received recognition from multiple publications including Magnetic Magazine. Aside from DJing, Posso are also Volcom-collaborating designers, Style.com blogger-ambassadors and sponsored by W Hotels. The duo released their “Summer 2014 Mixtape” on June 13, which was featured on the popular music blog Dancing Astronaut.
