Five top DJs – Chris Garcia, Nathan Scott, Samantha Ronson, Sid Vicious and Tony Arzadon – from the Skam Artist roster will provide live music to celebrate Independence Day with a bang at the W Hotel, July 4. Guests will be able to swim and dance throughout the day and into the night under the fireworks, which will light up the sky right at 9 p.m.
Hailing from Southern France, Chris Garcia started his music career early. By the time he made it to Las Vegas for the first time in 2004, he had already played multiple residencies across Europe, released an original EP and signed a sponsorship with DJ hardware manufacturer Gemini. Chris has held many residencies on the Strip and opened for a number of famous artists, including Steve Angello, Paul Oakenfold and Kaskade.
Introduced to house music at a young age, Nathan Scott spent seven years developing his DJ career. Nathan was awarded residencies not only on Sirius XM’s BPM dance station but also at the Crobar club in Chicago as well. He currently holds a residency at Ultra Pool Wet Republic at the MGM Grand Hotel. While in Vegas, Nathan Scott has opened for Sharam, Bad Boy Bill, Kaskade and Deadmau5.
Samantha Ronson spent a great deal of time in the studio with her stepfather, guitarist Mick Jones of Foreigner. Her brother Mark went on to become a Grammy-nominated producer and Samantha had aspirations of starting a band. When she started DJing regularly to fund her other musical projects, she soon discovered that she had talents beyond the realm of guitar-playing.
Refusing to pledge allegiance to only one or two genres, DJ Sid Vicious is the answer to the party-goer with an ear for all kinds of music. After starting his DJ career, the LA-native became a professional touring drummer. Sid presents a wide palette of music during his sets by playing electro, house, hip hop and rock indiscriminately. He has worked with high profile artists like Pink, LMFAO and the Black Eyed Peas and was voted San Diego’s top DJ in 2010.
Tony Arzadon began his venture into electronic music at the age of 16 and has not looked back since. His track “Rip It Up” reached the Beatport Top 10 chart last year and is the top selling track on Robbie Rivera’s Juicy Traxx label. Arzadon has held residencies at Wet Republic and XS in Vegas and at Playhouse in LA. He has partnered with Red Bull to bring flavors of electronic dance music to a number of extreme sporting events.
