Can you feel that, Scottsdale? It’s Arizona’s fleeting spring temperatures into something we like to call pool season. I’ve religiously guzzled kale smoothies through the winter months in anticipation of the glorious April to September stretch of lounge weather. This is the time when margaritas and mojitos flow freely and the bikini lines are the mark of the novice. It’s our time to shine, so get out there and represent!
The “Best of Scottsdale” issue is dedicated to the very best businesses, restaurants, professional services and places our city has to offer, according to all of you, dear readers, who were moved to vote online at azBIGmedia.com over the last few months. As I looked through the “Best of Scottsdale” winners, I began to visualize the answer to my evolving question of who is the Scottsdale woman? It’s the winners that inspired me to put together a photo shoot using only Scottsdale businesses and, as it turns out, two of our models reside in Scottsdale. So, who is a Scottsdale woman? I like to think she’s someone who understands the finer side of life while still being able to appreciate a nice bargain. She can sport a fabulous pair of designer shoes but will kick them off to sweat it out with a personal trainer. Scottsdale women keep lovely homes with an exquisite sense of style that means a constant necessity for remodeling and improvement. They strive for the best — and the businesses that represent them are held to the same standard. So for all those women who like their city and lifestyle hot, this issue is for you. |
