Gila River Hotels & Casinos just had its second big jackpot winner at one of its properties within one week of each other.
According to Gila River Hotels & Casinos, Joseph M. of Glendale won the $448,236.87 Wheel of Fortune jackpot on Friday, March 6, at Vee Quiva in Laveen.
Joseph said that he goes to Vee Quiva approximately three times a month and has won some smaller jackpots in the past. He said he was lucky that day as he had just won $1,800 on the Wheel of Fortune machine. He explained that he was about to leave after 5-6 more spins, but decided to play a little more when he hit the jackpot on a $10 bet!
Eight days earlier on Thursday, Feb. 27, a man named “Ed” won the $1,776,989.25 jackpot on the Casino Royale slot machine at Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass.
