Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, has signed a 222,000 square foot lease at 6205 S. Arizona Ave. with a 10-year term. Z Modular is a manufacturer of prefabricated steel structures for commercial buildings. The modular structures are constructed in-house with final assembly occurring on-site, where the steel modules are stacked and connected together.
The company is planning to hire approximately 150 net new employees to the region. In addition, the manufacturer will be investing approximately $17 million in tenant improvements and equipment, which includes a significant amount of robotic machinery.
“Z Modular will add to the diverse mix of employment opportunities Chandler offers,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “This project is a great use of existing infrastructure, and we are excited to see one of our largest industrial buildings at full capacity.”
Lee & Associates Arizona Principals Stein Koss and Tom Louer and Kristina Hayes with KW Commercial orchestrated the transaction.
