Thomas B. Hayes Award: Scott Savacool, CORFAC International President (R) presented the Thomas B. Hayes Award to Phill Tomlinson (L), a sales and leasing consultant with Commercial Properties Inc./CORFAC International (CPI) based in Phoenix, AZ. The Thomas B. Hayes Award is named for a former CORFAC affiliate who was consistently the most technologically savvy brokerage practitioner among his CORFAC colleagues. Tomlinson, represented CPI at the conference in the Principals’ Caucus and heads up the CORFAC International Technology Committee. Phill educated all attendees in a two hour presentation he prepared on the top apps and social media tools available. Tomlinson’s presentation engaged and inspired all in the room to find new tools to increase productivity and revenue generation in commercial real estate. Phill spent over 60 hours preparing his presentation which resulted in uproarious applause and appreciation from our CORFAC International affiliates. In recent years, Tomlinson has led Best Practices Workshops at CORFAC conferences on the use of social media and new apps to better market himself, his firm and his property listings.

Working closely with CORFAC’s Communications Committee Executive Member At-Large, David Boyd, CCIM, SIOR (L) and CORFAC International Executive Director, Jonathan Salk; Jason presented initiatives to help unify the affiliates at U.S. based ICSC events. Using the resources and information Mr. Price presented to the Communications Committee, the decision was made to present the material to the CORFAC Board for approval for a CORFAC branded booth at ICSC events. As a result, CORFAC International is exploring space options for CORFAC affiliates at the upcoming ICSC RECon tradeshow. This annual event brings over 33,000 attendees to Las Vegas thru May 22-25, 2016. This is a major accomplishment, and one that will showcase the strength of the unified network CORFAC International firms have across the globe.
