The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced that Jennifer Cranston has been appointed secretary and director of governance for the board of directors of AZCREW, one of the founding chapters of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network. She will serve a one-year term beginning Jan. 2016.
In her role, Ms. Cranston will provide the board with background support and structure and work with fellow board members to grow the organization. Ms. Cranston joined AZCREW in 2014 and became co-chair of the Sponsorship Committee in 2015.
AZCREW, formed in 1985, champions the advancement and success of women in the commercial real estate industry locally and nationally through leadership, professional relationships, education and excellence.
“I was drawn to the organization in part because its goal is to promote the advancement and success of women in commercial real estate, which tends to be a male-dominated industry,” Ms. Cranston said. “What I found is that the membership is full of amazing women, in all stages of their careers, who are dedicated to their professions and supporting one another. I look forward to increasing my engagement by joining the board.”
In addition to her service with AZCREW, Ms. Cranston co-chairs the Valley of the Sun United Way Women’s Leadership Council Steering Committee, which focuses primarily on early education. She also chairs the Gallagher & Kennedy Professional Women’s Group, which helps attorneys and other professionals at the firm develop professionally, while also focusing on philanthropy.
Ms. Cranston earned her J.D. in 2000 from the University of Arizona and her B.A. in 1997 from St. Mary’s College of California.
