GetFileAttachment-9Littlejohn Engineering Associates (Littlejohn) has made the addition of Thomas M. Sloot, PE. Tom will serve as Principal, Southwest Regional Manager in the Phoenix office. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arizona with 30+ years of experience in planning, engineering, entitlement, permitting, and construction management of large mixed-use real estate developments. He was formerly President and General Manager of TMS Management in Scottsdale. Prior to that, he was General Manager for Diamond Ventures and Director of Engineering and Land Development for Mobil Land Development Corporation.

Littlejohn established a presence in Phoenix in 2011, to better serve its existing client base in the southwest, through a merger with the Arizona-based civil engineering firm of Evans, Kuhn, and Associates. Adding Tom to the Littlejohn Team will undoubtedly enhance our ability to provide the experience and high level of service our clients have come to expect.

“Tom will provide senior leadership and a focused direction for our Phoenix office. Tom’s unique understanding of the Southeast market and his ability to develop and maintain strong relationships make him the perfect fit as we continue to grow and expand our quality and range of services for our clients.” said Lennie Arnold, Area Manager.

Firm President and CEO Jim Littlejohn was equally impressed. “Now that Littlejohn has joined S&ME, we are better able to serve our clients as a single resource. Tom’s experience working both regionally in Arizona and nationally on signature projects will allow us to create additional value for our clients throughout all stages of project development.”

Tom received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah. He has worked on several signature projects during his impressive career. As Director of Engineering and Land Development for Mobil Land Development Corporation, he oversaw the planning, engineering, and land development of Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona, an 8,300-acre mixed-use development set among six Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses; Red Mountain Ranch in Mesa, Arizona, an 800-acre mixed-use development set around a Pete Dye golf course; East Highlands Ranch in Ontario, California, a 1,200-acre mixed-use development set around extensive natural and recreational areas; and Stonegate in Parker, Colorado, a 1,500-acre mixed-use development integrated into natural mountainous terrain. As General Manager for Diamond Ventures, Tom directed the development of the 2,000-acre Villago master planned community in Casa Grande, Arizona and the 5,200-acre Saddleback Heights development in Peoria, Arizona.
