Plaza Companies has been selected to manage property and construction services for a busy medical office building in Glendale.

American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust II, Inc. (ARC Healthcare) has retained Plaza Companies for its 45,289-square-foot Energy-Star rated property known as Arrowhead Medical Plaza II.  The three-story medical office building is located on the campus of Arrowhead Hospital at 18700 N 64th Dr. in Glendale.  Over the years Arrowhead Hospital has grown from an 84-bed facility to a 217-bed, nationally recognized, full-service acute care hospital.

The on-campus medical office building is located in a high-growth area with immediate access to the 101 Freeway and is poised to benefit from increasing demand for medical services which are expected to surge over the next decade because of the new healthcare laws combined with the rapid growth of the over-65 age bracket. That’s especially true in retiree-heavy Arizona.

ARC Healthcare said they chose Plaza Companies for property management and construction services because of the company’s history and expertise in the medical office field, coupled with its strong local presence in metropolitan Phoenix.

“The Plaza Companies team has the experience and staffing depth needed in this marketplace,” said Sean Leahy, Vice President of Asset Management for New York-based American Realty Capital. “Having previously worked with the team at Plaza on numerous properties over the years, I’m confident they will deliver a high degree of responsiveness to our tenants and ensure the project’s success.”

“We are excited to work with ARC Healthcare on this quality medical office building,” said Sharon Harper, President and CEO of Plaza Companies. “We have helped property owners throughout the area maximize the potential of the buildings they trust in us, and we look forward to doing the same at Arrowhead Medical Plaza II.”

Harper said that the combination of the Plaza Property Management team that will be working on the property will be Dyanna Bentley, Jeanette Socaciu and Ed Slye.

“They each bring expertise and professionalism to each project,” she said. “They are a perfect fit for Arrowhead and will ensure it is a top-notch medical facility in this ever-changing Phoenix medical marketplace.”
